JourneyLog aims to provide a professional web service and smartphone apps aimed at solving many problems related to tracking vehicle use and the related costs of operation.
We have experience from the more traditional vehicle tracking market that used expensive electronic units that were installed into vehicles and maintained through costly software platforms.
Our approach solves many of the high cost and inconvenience problems raised by these first generation systems by taking advantage of the GPS receiver now present in smartphones, and uses a web based service to deliver high quality information.
The result is a dramatic reduction in cost to a level that is affordable for personal use and it provides significant savings to existing fleet tracking users. However there are still costs to us in providing this service; primarily web hosting fees and software development.
We provide the basic Android app PhoneTrack free of charge and an upgrade to a professional version is provided for online subscribers, or can be purchased from the Android Market. There is also a modest subscription for use of the web service.
